ABOUT ABOUT

Join UArts Continuing Education Digital Photography instructor Andrea Poulsen for this photographic night excursion in Center City Philadelphia for activities including:

  1. Open shooting time as we watch the light change during the "golden hour".
  2. Brief review on shooting in Manual Mode; instructor will be available to assist with individual questions and process.
  3.  After the sun goes down, demonstration of "painting with light" techniques and adding basic flash to long exposures at night.

Explorations in Light on Poulsen's blog.

This field trip is open to the public, but does require registration. Limited seats available.

Students should have their own Digital SLR camera, and a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and the ability to shoot in Manual Mode. Students are encouraged to bring a tripod and small portable light sources (such as a flashlight) to experiment with after the demo.
